First Playoff Game :)

We went to our first playoff game Thursday night!!! We have been to a couple of Spurs games this year but they take it to another level in the playoffs! San Antonio love the Spurs!! It is fun to live in a city with a good Pro team or a pro team period. They are playing the Clippers and are now up 2-0. It was fun to also see Chris Paul and Blake Griffen play. Hopefully we will get to go to a couple more playoff games this year.

Today we had another busy day getting ready for the Collegiate Championship in Florence. I have so much to do to get ready to go but tomorrow we will be having some fun in the sun at a cookout  :) I made Snicker Dip  from you guessed it Pinterest! It is super good! I'm also going to make some Dessert Kabobs but without the cake.

Today was Relay for Life in Florence. Sad we are missing it but we are Proud to be Team Shannon in Texas!!! I know they will have a great turn out and raise lots of money for cancer research.

H.E.B......Here Everything's Better....Really!

I love HEB!!!! They are only in Texas and they are the BEST!!! HEB is a super awesome grocery store. The one by our house is a HEB Plus which mean its like a Wal-mart, Best Buy, CVS, Framers Market, and Publix all in one :) Another nice thing is it is like a mile from the house.

After our trip to the B we went to Lowe's to get some stuff for a Pinterest craft I saw. We are really trying to get the house in order and my bathroom is the worst right now. I saw this pin for a DIY Make-up Magnet Board and thought this may help keep my counter clean. Here are a couple of pictures.

I have a little more to do on it but I love the way it turned out! I have a couple more bathroom projects that I hope to get done before I head to Bama Sunday. Stayed tuned for more Pinterest crafts :) I love Pinterest!

P.S. the Spurs are winning :) We are going to the game Thurs! We are so excited! It will be the first playoff game we have ever been too. Go Spurs Go!

Totally Awesome 80's Prom

Saturday we went to a 80's prom charity event in New Braunfels which is about 30 mins from San Antonio. There was about ten of us and we looked super 80's. All the girls had the big hair, tons of makeup and the dresses to match. The boys looked great too. Here is a group shot of us.....but it was at the end of the night so out hair had fallen.

We have a fun group already but add in dressing up and crazy dancing and oh what a night! To have a little more fun with it we all went to eat before the prom at restaurant downtown. I could see everyone in there having flashbacks. I have the Goodwill to thank for our outfits. I got everything for me and Jackson there. I scored the perfect 80's dress complete with big puffy lace sleeves.

Today we went to Six Flags with Cole and Chris. I love have season pass and had fun with the guys :) Now time for bed!!! Happy Mother's Day to my sweet mom and all the great mom's out there!!!

Rainy Thursday

Thankful for the rain. I think we will get about 5 inches of rain yesterday and today. It was perfect timing as we are getting our garden ready. I'm excited about our garden :) 11 day I'm off to Bama for two weeks. I'm getting so excited about our Collegiate Championship. The anglers are so excited too. It's a lot of work on our end but so worth it. I can't wait to see my family and friends!!!!

This weekend we are going to a 80's prom charity event so we hit up the Goodwill and I scored a great dress....I will post pictures on Sunday. We still need to find Jackson something but I think we will find something tomorrow. The event is close to the outlet mall so I will have to go shopping. My friend Paige is coming to come and help me find something to wear for our pictures in Bama. It should be a great girls day. Well time to learn some 80's dances. I hope everyone had a great Thurs!

Rain, Rain Please Stay

Well today was soooooo a Monday! After a long day at work I decided to do some shopping.  The Shops at La Cantera is kinda like Bridge Street in Huntsville and it's right down the road from the new house.  Jackson had to umpire tonight so it made sense to go shopping ;) We are having our pictures made when we go back to Alabama in two weeks so I had to get some new stuff for that. I got a couple of really cute tops. Got home about an hour ago and made it just time in......cause it is RAINING :) Jackson said it we got a good rain Sunday while I was gone. The weird thing about storms here are they are super violent but everyone acts like its fine. One night I was like Jackson should we be getting in the bathtub and he was like let's turn the the tv and see what they say. The weatherman was like we are going to be getting some strong storm tonight now back to you programming. If we were in Alabama it they would have been screaming take cover and get in the closet. I'm excited that we are getting some rain! Hopefully the lightening and thunder will stop and I can fall asleep to the rain.

The Weekend Update

This weekend I was at the Texas Team Trail Presented by Cabela's at Lake Livingston. It was a long but good weekend. Congrats to Brandon and Ryan for winning!

Friday night we had registration at a local restaurant called Hooker On the Lake. We also ate most of our meals there. Of course I took a picture for yall :) Enjoy!

It was a one day tournament on Saturday. Take off was at 6:15 so it was a very early morning. Lake Livingston is north of Houston and man was it humid. I felt like I was back in Bama, but it did prepare me for Bama in two weeks for the College Championship. We got home about 4 this afternoon and I'm starting to feel the effects of a long weekend so I think it's about bedtime.

We made it to Lake Livingston for the Texas Team Trail . It took about 5 hours since we were pulling a trailer. I have been over Lake Livingston once before and it is a beautiful lake. It reminds me a lot of Wilson Lake. We should have a good tournament and hopefully some good weights. After we got in we went to eat at Joe's Italian Grill and it was so good. Ryan(one of my co-workers) and I had stop there after our second team trail so we already knew how good it was. Now we are back at our "cabin" if you can call it that. It is a tiny cabin with one room and a hallway/bunk beds. As long as it is clean and a place to sleep I really don't care. Plus it is right on the water and once again it is so pretty here.

Fishing, Fishing and More Fishing

Wow I have been super busy working on the BoatUS Collegiate Bass Fishing Championship the last couple of days. We are going to have a great tournament in Florence, AL  on Pickwick & Wilson Lake. We just finished up registration and had 250 teams signed up. We will only be able to take 200 teams so we have been getting the field all set. I love how excited the anglers are. I bet I get 10 calls a day asking all kinds of questions but mostly making sure they are in. Of course I'm excited too!! I get to go back to Florence :) I can't wait to see my family and friends! I love it in Texas but I'm excited to be back in Flotown. I will also be staying in town/Cullman for the week after the tournament so I plan on eating at CASA for every meal!!! But for now I'm getting ready to go to the Texas Team Trail  in Livingston, TX. This will be the 3rd stop on the trail. We have one more in June then a break till the Championship in Oct. Good thing I like fishing and tournaments. Well time to pack. Hope everyone had a great Wednesday!
