Day 4 & 5 AdvoCare 24 Day Challenge Review

Day 4 Wednesday July 3, 2013
Oh happy day…no fiber drink! I noticed that I had more room for breakfast without the fiber drink. I’m still feeling great! I did have a craving today for fast food. I had to take a deep breath and a big drink of water and remind myself that I took this CHALLENGE to feel and look better and that I’m better off with a healthy grill chicken salad. My body still wants that fat I’m glad my mind keeps telling it that we don’t need it! I love that this is not some crazy diet but a true lifestyle change. I truly believe that AdvoCare helps to better your life and heath forever not just 24 days.

My Day 4 meal plan
Breakfast- Apple & One Hard Boiled Egg & Oatmeal- I really like this and it’s easy :)
1 Snack- Banana
Lunch-Deer Burger and Salad
2 Snack- Raw Nuts
Dinner-Not Fast Food but Grilled Chicken Salad

Day 5 Thursday July 4, 2013
Happy Independence Day!!!! My day got started a little later since I was “off work”. I like to stay on schedule so I think is started my day off well a little off. I got my spark and breakfast at about 9:30 which is about the time I have a snack. I went into work at about 10ish hoping to stay for a couple hours. Well I left about 4:30 pm. Today I learned a valuable lesson about being prepared. I brought with me a lite lunch and no snacks. My lunch didn’t last long and I was looking everywhere at work for a snack. I found some chips and soup. Of course I ate them I was so hungry :( I decided that instead of letting that make me snowball into other bad eating choices to enjoy it for that second and make up for it at the gym. I can’t believe that I have not wanted to take a nap so far! I heart naps so hard. I used to need them but I’m happy to say that I’m 5 days nap free and counting! Hope you had a great day hopefully with family and family remembering that we live in the greatest country because of so many brave soldiers! Thank you to all Military who have and are serving!!!

My Day 5 meal plan
Breakfast- Strawberries, Scrambled Eggs &Wheat Bread
1 Snack- Apple
Lunch-Salad with Turkey Breast
2 Snack- Chips and Soup
Dinner-Chicken with Pasta-Tomato Sauce

Day 1-3 AdvoCare 24 Day Challenge

Day 1-Sunday June 30, 2013
I decided to try AdvoCare 24-Day Challenge to tune up my body. I’m a very active healthy person but lately just feeling so tired and out of shape. Between working crazy hours and traveling, I know I can feel better. I have tried other AdvoCare products before so I know they work. AdvoCare offers world-class  health products, weight management, energy, sports performance and finances. I’m going to keep this blog about my journey so hopefully if you decide to try the challenge too this will help. I liked starting on a Sunday because the first 10 days are a part of the cleanse phase and I wanted to be at home. I have heard it said and have to agree the cleanse so far is gentle and uneventful. I’m excited to see what the next 23 days have in store.

Tips before you start----Thanks to all my friends for the tips!
1.       Read all your material and check out all the products
2.       Take pictures and measurements!
3.       Weigh yourself
4.       Mix your fiber drink with OJ or your favorite juice and drink it right away
5.       Plan out your meals for the week
6.       Eat snacks
7.       Exercise
8.       Drinks lots of water
9.       Go to choosethechallenge.com/trim for more tips

Also let’s talk about the Fiber Drink……it’s not a smoothie! I mix mine with Lite OJ and in my NutriBullet so it gets really mixed up. It’s not my favorite but it’s not the worst.

1 Snack-We were at Church
Lunch-Grilled Chicken, Fresh Green Beans & Kidney Beans
2 Snack- Watermelon
Dinner-Deer Burger no Bun, Fresh Green Beans & Roasted Potatoes

Day 2-Monday July 1, 2013
I’m feeling really good after day 2! I’m really enjoying my Spark in the morning!! I think it is funny how many people think you can’t eat just because you are on the 24 Day challenge. Really it’s just the opposite. I eat three meals and two snacks every day. I really do have more energy. I did two sparks today……it was a long day at work. I also made it to the gym since I was not worn out. I walked/ran for 30 minutes.

My Day 2 meal plan
Fiber Drink

Lunch-Grilled Chicken salad
2 Snack-Grapes
Dinner-Fresh Mahi Mahi, Green Beans

Day 3-Tuesday July 2, 2013
Well I had another great day! We are super busy at work this week and I can feel the difference. The last couple of weeks at about 2:30 or so I would just want to take a nap but not today. I feel like I’m more productive and I have better focus.  I’m hooked on AdvoCare!! I’m ready for the next couple weeks!! I went to the GYM again today. Yes two days in a row. I even cooked dinner, washed clothes and cleaned up the house…..I’m on fire!

My Day 3 meal plan
Fiber Drink
Breakfast- Apple & One Hard Boiled Egg
1 Snack- Grapes and Raw Nuts

Toyota Texas Bass Classic

Well it sure has been a busy couple of weeks! A couple of weeks ago I got to go to the Toyota Texas Bass Classic at Lake Conroe in Conroe, TX. This was kind a new for me since we were not putting the tournament on just doing all the production for it. It was nice to see both side of tournaments. When we put on a tournament we do it from registration to weigh-in so it was nice to have someone else do all the planning. They started with the Top 50 Pros in Bass Fishing-15 from FLW, 15 from BASS and 15 from PAA with 5 sponsor exemptions. It was a 3 day tournament starting on Friday and ending on Sunday with only the Top 10 fishing. Another thing I really liked was take off was at 8 every morning which sure does beat 6. They had concerts each night after weigh-in and we had all access passes so that was awesome. I'm usually not a huge groupie kinda of girl but I do really like Dierks Bentley and he was there Friday night!!! Here are a couple pictures from his awesome concert. I fully used by pass to get as close as I could :)

Friday the weather was so pretty sunny and warm well that quickly changed Saturday and Sunday. Saturday it rained all day. I light to medium no lighting rain and a cold wind. After being a wet mess for most of the day we decided not to stay Saturday night for the Gray Allen concert. But before we could leave we had to get the camera off the jib and make sure the jib was safe for the people in the crowd. Sounds so easy right.....wrong. Image it has rained all day so it is a muddy mess and everyone has being drinking since noon.So the jib is roped off by a tiny piece of rope and there are thousands of people. First the drunk girl next to us kept getting inside the rope and I bet I told her 5 times to get out and she was like oh other side of the rope ok. Then another drunk girl passed out and they had to call the EMTs right next to us. after that another teenage non drunk girl got hurt and we had to lift her over and out. Then two grown drunk men tried to start a fight with a teenage boy and his girl. Finally we got everything off the job and security to watch it. It was a crazy drunken mess and I'm so glad we got to leave!!

Sunday was a fun day but also cold and rainy. Jake Owen was the entertainment Sunday night so that was not to bad ;).

Congrats to Brain Thrift for winning the 2012 TTBC! I hope we get go back next year cause it was a interesting fun adventure!

The In-laws in the Outlaw State

Jackson parents got to come see us in Texas last week :) After a wonderful wedding in Houston we headed to San Antonio on Sunday morning. No trip to Texas is complete without a stop at Buc-ee's which is a huge(we are in Texas) gas station. They have tons of homemade products and candies but my favorite thing are the fruit kolaches!! Alabama is missing out...they are so good! For lunch we stopped at Bun N Barrel a barbecue pit that was also on Diners Drive-Ins & Dives. They got to go to church with us on Sunday night and we ate at a Mexican restaurant next to church. I'm glad they got to taste some Texas Mexican food. We ended the weekend at Floores Country Store and Jeanie & Aub got to dance. It's a famous dance hall in Helotes just outside of San Antonio. Jackson's mom likes to shop so we headed up to the outlet mall on Monday. First we had lunch at Dough! It's a Napoletana Pizza place and it's so good!! After a day of shopping we went to the historic town of Gruene, TX. We had dinner at the Gristmill River Restaurant over looking the Guadalupe River.
Dinner at Gristmill :)
We visited some of the shops in downtown Gruene. We ended our night at other dance hall Gruene Hall
Our find at the General Store
The Agee's had to leave Wednesday morning so we saved the best for last.....the Riverwalk :) Tuesday we had lunch at the Taco Truck. Jackson had to go to a job interview so I took Mrs Jeanie to HEB. It's only the best grocery store ever!! She of course loved it. When Jackson got back to headed Downtown. We got to tour the Alamo which was very interesting.
Then we were off to the Riverwalk :) We had dinner right next to the water at Boudro's Texas Bistro. It was so good and a great way to end their trip.
Dinner on the Riverwalk
We had so much fun with Jeanie and Aub!!! Can't wait for them to come back!!

Pinterest Projects :)

So I pretty much love Pinterest as most of you know! Here are a couple of things I have done lately.
How's it Hanging? A Flop Tutorial- I like this one because it helps free up some floor space in the closet
just twist a hanger
add a bow and hang your shoes
Organization Board Tutorial from Girl Loves Glam- She has everything you need on her blog :)
:)
Love!
A picture frame key holder
I can't find the pin but Hobby Lobby cardboard letter, spray paint and craft paper

Scarf Hanger Organization- Gives you so much more room in the closet!!
Hopefully I don't need these in Texas
Freezer meals- Today since I was off I made some meals to freeze so after long days I can still have a descent meal.
No Bake Strawberry Icebox Cake- Super easy and so good!!!

I have had the last couple of weekends off so I have got to do a lot of projects. Glad that sweet Jackson likes to help me with all the project :) More to come.....

10 months of Texas :)

Can't believe I have been in Texas for 10 months :) It has been great so far! We have made so many great friends here. I really like my new job and all my co-workers. San Antonio is a fun place to live. We are Zoo members....we have a awesome Zoo......and have season passes to Six Flags. Jackson has got to fish on some of the famed lakes here and I have been to a couple tournaments on them. Everyone thinks since I work in fishing that I get to go all the time but I have not been once yet. We have a tournament in Oct at Lake Amistad so hopefully I will get to wet a line there. We recently signed up for flag football and softball leagues with our roommate. It's fun to do something competitive again. We also have a whiffle ball leagues with some of my coworkers and friends. I forgot how much fun whiffle ball was. We miss our families so I'm excited to see everyone next month for Joe and Leah's wedding :) Then we will be back in Bama for Thanksgiving. Here are some random fun Texas pictures :) Enjoy!

Happy Bday Jackson....Memories in my Mind

First Happy Bday to my sweet Jackson!!!! (on Sat Aug 4)  We started the bday off with a road trip to Houston. Our friends just moved there about a month ago. We got there kind of late on Friday and stayed up way to late catching up. They are so dear to us and we love being around them. Cole our roommate with us  too. Paige and Chad have two sweet boys so we all got up early Sat because the boys were so excited to see us. After breakfast we got ready to go to a shower for our cousins Joe and Leah :) It was such a sweet shower. Leah is perfect for Joe!! I love to see the love they have for each other. We got to see Coach and Anne too! Love them!!! After the shower we went to Paige's parents house for some swimming.  They are the sweetest people!! After a day of swimming, hanging out, and going on the boat Steve Paige's dad made Jackson a big steak dinner. It was a perfect Bday for Jackson! I also remembered a story Jackson told me when we first started dating like 5 years ago about a birthday cake he had when he was younger. They all loved Army men when they were younger so Jackson wanted an Army man cake. Well what he got was a man in an all brown suit......Army men have camo not just brown. So this year I made him an Army man cake.
Don't judge it was made with love

At this time I would post all kinds of pictures of the fun things we did BUT I was having to much fun to take out my camera. Looking back I wish I would have taken a ton of pictures to remember all the fun we had with our friends but I'm glad that all the fun, love, friendships, and memories are burned in my mind :) God really has blessed us with some life long friends here in such a short time.
